Loose old nightgown with three quarter sleeves, almost never worn, dating from the first half of the 19th century. Beautifully dense linen material, hand-embroidered cross-stitch monogram on the chest, buttoned opening, pretty round neckline edged with fine lace.
This long nightgown has been hand dyed indigo blue, a beautiful shade that has acquired a patina over time. Ideal to wear as a belted dress or not! Excellent general condition, washed and ironed.
