Beautiful set of 6 matching tea towels which date from the mid-20th century. The material is a medium weight linen and cotton blend, a beautiful soft and durable canvas. The tea towels come from Cholet, the town where these colored canvases were traditionally woven. 3 tea towels have just a strip, the other 3 have a pretty checkered decoration in blue, brown and orange tones. Hand-sewn tie on each towel for hanging. These tea towels are unused and stiff, but will soften more and more with each wash. Just perfect for drying glasses!
These towels are in perfect dormant stock condition!
