Very beautiful curtain which dates from the very beginning of the 20th century.
The material is a heavy linen and cotton blend with gray ecru tones.
The curtain was constructed to fit a sash window, those that are lifted up and down. The curtain has a good width to fit those large windows.
It has hand sewn ties in the top hem for easy hanging.
This antique curtain is constructed with a large piece embroidered in crochet lace and an inset of floral Richelieu embroidery! The lace work is beautiful. This curtain is matched with a large tablecloth also on sale in the shop, they come from a castle in the south of France, near Toulouse. This is the first time I've found matching embroidered linens in almost new condition!
Immaculate condition.
I freshly washed this curtain, it is ready to use.
Lovely as a curtain, the textile can be also used in front of shelves!
